Glob-el building green energy cutting emissions

Glob-el, a leading manufacturer of electronics and electrical installation products, is proud to announce a significant milestone in its sustainability efforts.

In 2024, the company successfully reduced CO2 emissions by 53,314 kg, equivalent to 80 car trips from Vilnius to Lisbon or 16 around-the-world flights taken by a single individual. To offset this amount, 1,838 trees would have needed to be planted.

his achievement has been made possible through Glob-el’s partnership with Enefit, a trusted energy provider that is part of Eesti Energia, the largest electricity production and trading group in the Baltic states.

Enefit supplies 100% Green Energy, generated entirely from renewable sources within the region. Glob-el has been sourcing its energy from Enefit for the past three years as part of its broader sustainability strategy to minimise its environmental footprint while maintaining efficient manufacturing and operational processes.

Saulius Uznys, Managing Director of Glob-el, said: “At Glob-el, sustainability is a core priority, and we are delighted to see tangible results from our approach. Reducing CO2 emissions by over 53,000 kg is a significant achievement that highlights our commitment to a greener future.

“By working with Enefit, we are ensuring that our manufacturing processes align with our environmental goals, and we remain dedicated to further reducing our impact in the years to come.”

Glob-el continues to explore and implement sustainable solutions in its production and business operations, reinforcing its commitment to responsible manufacturing and a cleaner planet.
